01 About QAF

An autocontained view
of physical reality.

The Quaternion Autocontained Framework explores the hypothesis that physical reality admits an autocontained mathematical foundation.

QAF follows a monistic research approach: mathematical structure and physical phenomena are investigated as aspects of a single reality. The programme studies geometric formulations, their consequences under explicit assumptions, and their connection to observable phenomena.

Its ambition is to connect foundational inquiry with testable physical hypotheses and carefully defined opportunities for technology development.

Rigour through explicit distinctions.

Foundational hypotheses, mathematical results, conditional derivations and falsifiable predictions are distinguished from experimental evidence and validated technologies.

02 Research areas

A connected research agenda.

Three areas connect theoretical structure, physical response and potential applications.

Mathematical physics, geometry & foundations

Theoretical research

Quaternionic geometry, foundational consistency and candidate mathematical descriptions linking theoretical structure to physical observables.

Chiral transport &
conductive interfaces

Physical hypotheses

Chiral charge transport, spin-dependent effects and electrically active interfaces, with an emphasis on hypotheses that can be distinguished through experimental assessment.

Emerging technological
applications

Application research

Prospective applications in energy storage, materials and advanced computation, developed through application-specific research and critical assessment.

03 Energy technologies

New directions in
charge, storage & transport.

TRL 2Current positioning
Concept formulation

QAF contains falsifiable, ansatz-based predictions that may be selected for application-specific experimental assessment. These energy directions are theoretical research proposals at TRL 2; they do not represent completed devices or experimentally validated prototypes.

Research direction / 01

Chiral charge transport

Research into spin-dependent charge transport and electrically active interfaces, exploring how chirality may inform the design of advanced conductive systems.

Experimental focus

Assess charge and spin responses under defined conditions, using controls to distinguish competing mechanisms and test reproducibility.

Research direction / 02

Chiral hypercapacitors

Proposed advanced capacitive architectures exploring chirality as a design variable for charge storage and electrically active interfaces.

Experimental focus

Evaluate application-specific capacitive behaviour, leakage, stability and energy balance through independently defined measurement protocols.

Research direction / 03

Chiral hyperconductors

Research into proposed chiral conduction regimes, including room-temperature transport as a theoretical target for experimental assessment.

Experimental focus

Characterise electrical and thermal response under specified material and operating conditions, with controls for alternative transport explanations.

A defined route from theoretical prediction to application-specific evidence.

04 Scientific publications

Public research.
A traceable starting point.

Selected public QAF materials, accessible through their original Zenodo records.

These materials present theoretical research within their stated assumptions and scope. Public research records are distinguished from independent experimental assessment of QAF's proposed technologies.

05 Industrial collaboration

A research question.
A defined proof of concept.

QAF welcomes exploratory discussions concerning funded proof-of-concept research, independent experimental testing and application-specific technology development.
